These wipes are a film-forming product intended to protect skin from adhesive trauma and skin stripping. When they are applied properly, they reduce friction and shear and prevent incontinence-associated dermatitis. These wipes create a waterproof barrier that can last for up to 4 days. The barrier also improves adhesion between a dressing or tape on the skin. When you follow your health-care professionals’ instructions or the product directions, these swabs are easy to use and can become a convenient tool for your wound-care routine. Directions: Wipe skin with NO-STING SKIN-PREP Wipes and allow to dry thoroughly. A film coating will form and bond to skin. The coating does not have to be removed when changing bandages or appliances. If the film does need to be removed, it can be removed by using a medical adhesive remover such as UNISOLVE◊ Adhesive Remover. These swabs are for external use only. • RAPID-DRYING PROTECTIVE WIPES: NO-STING SKIN-PREP Wipes are intended for use as a film-forming product, that upon application to intact or damaged skin forms a long-lasting barrier, which acts as a protective interface between the skin and bodily wastes, fluids, adhesive dressings, drainage tubes, external catheters, and surrounding ostomy sites.
• EFFECTIVE BARRIER UP TO 4 DAYS: Forms a long-lasting water-resistant barrier for up to 96hrs / 4 days. Use it on heels, elbows, and other areas of the body that are at risk of irritation due to friction damage caused by external surfaces. Feel secure without a noticeable sticky or tacky feel after applying.
• ALCOHOL-FREE TRANSPARENT FILM: This film uses an alcohol-free formulation to minimize stinging on damaged skin.
